Monday’s Liverpool Echo says that Keisuke Honda – a reported target for Roberto Martinez – has been told that he can leave his current club CSKA Moscow.

The Japanese international’s contract is due to expire in January but it is believed that the Russian club are willing to let the 27-year-old move on should they receive an offer of around £5million. Italian outfit AC Milan, who Everton could face in their pre-season tour of America, are also interested in acquiring the midfielder’s services.

Also in the Echo, pundit and former Evertonian Andy Gray has been speaking about Kevin Mirallas and the impact he could have on the Premier League next season.
