The Liverpool Echo reports Everton manager Roberto Martinez is determined to bring silverware to Goodison Park following his FA Cup success with Wigan last campaign.

In the same newspaper, ex-Blues captain Phil Neville believes an important year lies ahead for the club following the arrival of the new manager.

The Echo also take a look at a number of former Blues who have made a name on the international stage following Jo’s goal for Brazil on Wednesday evening.

The Daily Star claims that Everton are one of six clubs interested in Manchester City youngster Abdisalam Ibrahim. The 22-year-old has made only three appearances for City and is currently out on loan at Norwegian club Stromsgodset.
