Thursday’s Daily Mail reports that Everton are one of a number of clubs showing an interest in Barcelona midfielder Jonathan dos Santos.

Anderlecht and Sevilla are also said to be targeting the 23-year-old, a Mexico international and the brother of former Tottenham star Giovani Dos Santos.

Another player who is a rumoured target for the Blues is Birmingham’s Nathan Redmond.

The Liverpool Post and Liverpool Echo both claim that Roberto Martinez is on the lookout for a new goalkeeper to give Tim Howard some competition for his place.

Both newspapers also report that Howard is working harder than ever to stay in shape to ensure he is still first choice with the Club come the start of the new season.

Following the announcement of the new fixtures yesterday, the Echo reports that Martinez wants his players to ensure Goodison remains a fortress next season after only one defeat in the league last campaign. Watch an interview with Martinez here.

Everton Under-21s head coach Alan Stubbs speaks with the Liverpool Post about his delight that five of his players could be representing England when the FIFA Under-20 World Cup gets underway tomorrow.

And finally, The Times reports that Phil Neville will decide on his future while on holiday. The retired former Toffees skipper reportedly has offers from Manchester United, Everton and the media to consider.
