Roberto Martinez's first competitive game in charge of Everton will be a trip to Norwich City on Saturday 17 August.

The Spaniard will take his team on the long trip to Carrow Road as the Blues start the season away from home for only the third time in 11 years.

The 2013/14 Barclays Premier League fixtures were announced at 9am on Wednesday morning - and the first home game of the new campaign will take place on the second weekend of the season with the visit of West Bromwich Albion (24 August).

New man Martinez can then look forward to games away at Cardiff City (31 August), at home to Chelsea (14 September), away at West Ham United (21 September) and home to Newcastle (28 September) as he looks to get his reign at the Club off to a flying start. 

Goodison Park will once again play host to the first Merseyside derby when Liverpool make the journey across Stanley Park on Saturday 23 November.

Fans will then have to wait only two months for the return fixture - with the Anfield derby pencilled in for Tuesday 28 January.

Everton will encounter former manager David Moyes for the first time at Old Trafford on Tuesday 3 December, before the Scot makes his maiden return to the Blue half of Merseyside on Saturday 19 April.

The Boxing Day game will be at home against Sunderland – with another Goodison outing against Southampton scheduled for two days later.

The season will conclude on11 May with an away trip to promoted side Hull City.

Other notable fixtures include games against Arsenal, away on 7 December and at home on 5 April, Manchester City, away on 5 October and at home on 3 May, and Chelsea away at Stamford Bridge on 22 February.

Cardiff City’s first league trip to Goodison Park in 52 years will take place on Saturday 15 March.
