Many of Thursday’s national newspapers suggest that Marouane Fellaini will not be leaving Goodison Park this summer, despite reported interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.

In The Daily Mirror, Daily Express and Daily Star, Fellaini is quoted as saying that his ‘destiny is with Everton - it’s as simple as that’.

The same article in the Star also mentions that Roberto Martinez is not the only candidate Everton will be speaking to regarding the vacant managerial position at the Club.

The Liverpool Echo state that Porto chief Vitor Pereira is still in the running to become the next Blues boss, although the same paper also list the players and staff they believe Martinez might bring with him from Wigan should he get the job.

There is plenty of coverage of England’s 1-1 draw with Republic of Ireland on Wednesday evening, a game which featured Seamus Coleman, Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines.

In Henry Winter’s match report in the The Telegraph, Coleman’s performance is described as ‘excellent’, whereas Daniel Taylor in The Guardian said that the full-back was ‘possibly the best player on the pitch’.
