Marouane Fellaini has teamed up with celebrity stylist Josh Wood to turn his hair silver for charity.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Premier League Club’s official charity, Everton in the Community, Fellaini promised to turn his famous 'fro silver – but only if fans helped him reach the fundraising target of £25,000 by May 16.
The Belgian international put his iconic hair in the hands of award-winning colourist, Josh Wood, at the Club’s training ground earlier today and revealed his new look at the Blues’ End of Season Awards on Thursday evening.
Speaking about his new do, Marouane said: “It’s okay – I think I look nice. It is only for one day but I will enjoy my day. Maybe I will do it again with another colour now that silver is done. Maybe blue next for Everton!
”I would like to thank all the supporters of Everton for helping me to reach £25,000 – I am really happy to help Everton in the Community.”
Fellaini’s fundraising total currently stands at a fantastic £25,395, a figure made possible thanks to generous contributions from fans and local businesses, with every penny raised by the challenge going to Everton in the Community, which is celebrating its 25th year.
To mark the anniversary the charity launched an ambitious fundraising campaign to raise £1million.
