Browning Makes Young Lions Squad

by Daniel Alston @efc_danalston

Tyias Browning has been named in the England Under-19 squad for the Euro Elite Qualifying Round later this month.

The defender, who has featured at right-back and centre-half for the Blues' Under-21 side this term, was named in Noel Blake's 18-man party for three games in Belgium.

The Young Lions take on the host nation, Georgia and Scotland for a place at the European Championship Finals in Lithuania this summer.

Fellow Everton youngster Matthew Kennedy is in the provisional Scotland Under-19 squad, meaning the two Blues could come up against one another.

Having previously played for England youth levels including the Under-17s, Browning made his first appearance for the Under-19s in the 1-0 win over Turkey in March.

Keep an eye on evertonfc.com for updates as the fixtures commence on Friday 24 May.
