Gibbo Keeps Qpr Strike

by Matthew Gamble @efc_mattgamble

Everton's first in the 2-0 home win over QPR has been confirmed as a Darron Gibson goal.

The midfielder's first half effort from outside the area struck Rangers' defender Clint Hill on its way past visiting custodian Julio Cesar.

But the Premier League's dubious goals committee have reviewed the strike and confirmed it will go down as Gibson's first of the season and only his second in an Everton shirt.

Everton would double their advantage in the second half via Victor Anichebe's close range effort as QPR slid towards the drop.

The Blues are back in action at Goodison on Saturday and tickets for the game against Fulham are on general sale now. To join us at Goodison Park, click here or call 0871 663 1878*. Alternatively, visit the Park End Box Office, Everton Two in Liverpool One or TicketQuarter in Queen Square.
