Marti Pellow will join the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra on Monday April 22 to perform an evening of songs from his new album ‘Hope’, which is dedicated to the late mother of Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright.
The Chairman spoke emotionally of the Mothers of Liverpool during his address to the congregation at Monday’s Hillsborough Memorial Service.
Marti, a close friend of Bill Kenwright, performed a song at Hope’s funeral in Liverpool last year and asked the Chairman if he could do a special concert at Liverpool in which he would combine musical theatre classics, standards and some of his own songs as a tribute to Bill’s mum - an Evertonian, much loved at Goodison Park.
‘Hope’ is at Liverpool Philharmonic on April 22 at 7.30pm. All profits go to The Linda McCartney Centre.
