Everton star Marouane Fellaini helped Chang Beer celebrate the sacred Thai festival of Songkran this week by preparing some culinary delights.
The Blues' midfielder teamed up with the Club's official sponsor for a celebration ahead of the Thai New Year, which takes place between 13 and 15 April, at Liverpool's premium Thai restaurant, Chaophraya in Liverpool One.
Thai New Year involves a whole host of traditions, from colourful Songkran parades and religious ceremonies, to epic water fights, which are believed to wash away the sins of the previous year.
The Belgian international took part in a special cookery lesson with an expert Thai chef to mark Songkran. Fellaini cooked up some tasty Thai treats, which can be enjoyed with a refreshing bottle of Chang Beer.
The premium Thai beer is made using the finest quality malt, hops and deep well water and brewed using a unique blend of ingredients to match the spicy flavours of traditional Thai cuisine. Complex aromas of smokey, peaty green apples and vanilla, and a full-bodied flavour with light citrus notes, make it the perfect accompaniment to the exotic tastes and textures of Thai cooking.
Chang Beer has worked closely with top Thai chefs to devise a selection of mouth-watering, traditional Thai recipes with a twist for you to enjoy. To find out more about Chang Beer's Thai Food Guide and to try cooking the recipes at home to celebrate Songkran in style, visit www.changbeer.com
