What The Papers Say - 8 April

by Matthew Gamble @efc_mattgamble

Match reports and reaction from Everton's 2-2 draw at Tottenham dominate Monday's newspapers.

In the Liverpool Echo, Victor Anichebe insists Everton's hopes of Champions League qualification are still alive.

The Echo also named Anichebe the man of the match and praised Everton's 'bark and bite'.

David Moyes likened goalscorer Kevin Mirallas to Gareth Bale in the same paper - a story also found in the Mirror.

In the Telegraph and the Times, however, Moyes says Everton's Champions League chance has gone.

The Mirror also reports that former Everton and Spurs midfielder Paul Gascoigne looked well while watching his two former sides.
