Dutch master Edgar Davids has revealed that he admires Everton’s elegant brand of football.
The current Barnet player-manager – schooled at the famous Ajax youth academy – has praised David Moyes for producing a team that is not only achieving results but also implementing a style of play that is easy on the eye.
“With regards to David Moyes, I think he does an excellent job,” Davids exclusively told evertonfc.com. “I have to say, I enjoy watching Everton play.”
Davids – a former engine room general at Milan, Juventus, Barcelona, Inter and Tottenham – also believes Everton have to capabilities to qualify for Europe this season.
During his trophy-laden career, the 40-year-old won the UEFA Cup in 1992 and the Champions League in 1995.
“I think it will be hard to do but they are having a great season and I hope they finish in a European spot,” he explained. “I think it would be a good way for them to finish the season.”
Davids was speaking to evertonfc.com at the eighth annual Kickz awards – an event which saw the Club’s official charity, Everton in the Community, scoop two accolades.
