Nine Everton first-team players could be involved in international action over the course of the next fortnight after receiving call ups for their respective national teams.

Fresh from the weekend win over Manchester City, Leighton Baines and Leon Osman have departed Merseyside to link up with their England colleagues ahead of the Group H World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Montenegro.

Kevin Mirallas and Marouane Fellaini are set to represent Belgium in their back-to-back qualifiers against Macedonia, while Nikica Jelavic is a part of the Croatia contingent for their games with Serbia and Wales.

Steven Naismith has been named in Gordon Strachan’s first competitive squad for the crucial games against Wales and Serbia. Scotland currently prop up Group A after collecting just two points from their first four fixtures.

In Group B, Seamus Coleman is set to add to his 9 Republic of Ireland caps after being named in their squad for fixtures against Sweden and Austria. Two victories would see Giovanni Trapattoni’s side climb to second in the table after the shaky start to their qualifying campaign.

Outside of Europe, Bryan Oviedo has travelled across the Atlantic in preparation for Costa Rica’s CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers against USA and Jamaica.

On the Under-21s scene, Shane Duffy could face Francisco Junior as Republic of Ireland play Portugal in Dublin.

Tyias Browning, Hallam Hope and Matthew Pennington are in line to make their England Under-19s debut against Turkey, although John Stones has withdrawn after being named in the original squad. John Lundstram was also forced to drop out on Tuesday afternoon, the midfielder having picked up a knock in Doncaster’s 1-1 draw with Portsmouth at the weekend.

Matthew Kennedy is part of the Scotland Under-19s squad for their double header against Sweden, George Green is in the England Under-17s squad to play Portugal, Russia and Slovenia, while Harry Charsley has joined up with Republic of Ireland Under-17s for the games against Austria, Georgia and Serbia.

Finally, Jonjoe Kenny and Ryan Ledson have been named in the England Under-16s squad for the eight-nation Montaigu Tournament in France.
