Neville In As Pair Miss Out

by Matthew Gamble @efc_mattgamble

Phil Neville returns to the Everton side for the FA Cup quarter final against Wigan.

The club captain is in for Darron Gibson in the centre of the Blues' midfield.

Tim Howard misses out with two broken bones in his back, while Phil Jagielka is sidelined as he recovers from the gashed ankle he sustained last weekend against Reading.

It means Jan Mucha continues in goal and John Heitinga deputises in the centre of defence.

Kevin Mirallas and Seamus Coleman continue their partnership down the right-hand side, with Marouane Fellaini and Nikica Jelavic carrying the attacking threat.

Everton: Mucha, Coleman, Baines, Distin, Jagielka, Neville, Osman, Fellaini, Mirallas, Pienaar, Jelavic.  Subs: Springthorpe, Gibson, Naismith, Hitzlsperger, Barkley, Anichebe, Duffy.

Wigan:  Joel, Kone, Alcaraz, McCarthy, Maloney, Gomez, McManaman, Boyce, Beausejour, Figueroa, Scharner.  Subs: Di Santo, McArthur, Stam, Golobart, Al Habsi, Henriquez, Miyachi.
