After Everton's late defeat at Norwich David Moyes said his side paid the price for not getting a second goal when they were well in control of the game.

Strikes from Kei Kamara and Grant Holt ensured Norwich took all three points after Leon Osman had given Everton a foothold in the match with a first-half header.

“We deserved to win the game, but we didn’t,” Moyes told evertontv.

“I thought we did a lot of good things and played some good football but we don’t look like we are going to come up with the goods in the final third at the moment.

“We’ve talked about it, looked at it and we need to try and find a way of doing that more."

Holt’s injury-time winner was actually scored after the indicated three minutes of added time, much to Moyes’ frustration.

The Blues boss added: “I think he [referee Lee Mason] had played about three minutes 20 seconds when the goal was scored. He says that it’s at his discretion but I need to know where his discretion goes to.

“Was there a reason for the extra 20 seconds? I couldn’t tell you.”

Moyes did, however, take some consolation from the return of Seamus Coleman who was back in the fold for the first time in a month.

“I thought he did great,” Moyes added. “I’m glad to get him back because he is an important part of the team.”
