Everton Ladies made it two wins from two in pre-season as they romped to a 5-0 win over touring Canadian side Victoria University.
Midfielder Brooke Chaplen helped herself to a hat-trick, with striker Toni Duggan’s brace completing the scoring.
After defeating Blackburn Rovers 2-0 in their opening pre-season fixture, the result against the Canadians means the Blues are warming up nicely ahead of next month’s FA Cup tie, which signals the start of the season proper.
Despite the back-to-back wins, manager Andy Spence insists there is still work to be done in the meantime.
“It was a decent performance,” he told evertonfc.com. “In the first half in particular we played some really good stuff.
“We dropped off in the second half which is something we probably need to address going forward because we did the same against Blackburn in our previous friendly.
“But it was only the second pre-season game we have had so far.
“We are trying to maintain those high intensity levels with and with and without the ball right the way through. It’s something we will build upon as we go along."
