Midfielder Magaye Gueye has joined French club Stade Brest on loan until the end of the season.

The left-sided 22-year-old has made just six appearances for the Blues this term and was given permission to link up with the Ligue 1 outfit following a transfer deadline day approach.

Paris-born Gueye, a former France Under-21 international, moved to Goodison Park from first club RC Strasbourg in June 2010.

Brittany-based Brest are currently 14th in their domestic table, four points clear of the relegation zone with 24 points from their 22 league games this term.
