Goodison Park’s reputation as a fortress was enhanced on Wednesday night as a Leighton Baines double saw West Bromwich Albion become the latest opponent to fall at its doors.

In 13 home games this season the Toffees have lost just once and David Moyes’ men are hot 2/5 favourites with Paddy Power to beat Aston Villa when the Midlanders become the next outfit to make a charge on the Blue half of Merseyside this Saturday.

Wednesday’s result moved Everton within one point of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and they are now 4/1 to finish the season inside those top four places.

As for Saturday’s game, momentum is certainly with the Toffees, Moyes’ men having lost just once since 18 November.

As such, Everton are 5/4 with Paddy Power to beat Paul Lambert’s outfit without conceding a goal, their opponents having scored just five goals in their last seven league games.

On the subject of goals, Baines took his Premier League tally for the season to five against the Baggies, equalling his best haul from the 2010/11 season.

And if you fancy the flying left-back to continue his rich vein of scoring form, you can back him at 10/1 with Paddy Power to get things up and running on Saturday.

The England international, who is in the Three Lions squad for next week’s friendly against Brazil, has also scored on each of Villa’s last two trips to Goodison and it could be tempting to back him as a 16/5 any time scorer.

Five out of Everton’s six league wins this term have been by a single goal and Paddy Power are offering 12/5 they will improve that record this weekend.

And remember six of the Blues’ last eight league meetings with Villa have ended all square; it tends to be a close contest.

Everton’s last four league victories have been by a 2-1 scoreline and you can get 13/2 with Paddy Power for another of those results.

Otherwise, a repeat of Everton’s 3-1 triumph at Villa Park back in August is 10/1, while the scorers that day, Steven Pienaar, Marouane Fellaini and Nikica Jelavic are 4/1, 6/4 and evens to score at any time respectively.
