A frustrated David Moyes says a little more ruthlessness in the final third would have seen Everton turn one point into three against Swansea.

The Blues boss was unable to question his team's commitment but felt that they did create enough chances to have secured all three points.

The 0-0 draw keeps Everton in fifth position, although the gap between the Blues and the top four has now been extended to three points.

Moyes said: "We are a bit frustrated. Swansea did a really good job in midweek on Chelsea and it was similar today.

"We needed to play a little bit better, pass it a bit quicker and be a little bit cleverer in the final third. We didn't do that as well as we would have liked.

"I thought we had three or four good opportunities but I couldn't turn around and say anyone missed a real sitter.

"I thought we kept going, tried to do the right things, although we could have done it better. I can't fault the players for their effort because they went right to the last minute to try and get the goal.

"The draws could cost us if we can't turn them into wins, but we just couldn't get the ball over the line today."

Whilst accepting that his team could have been more clinical in attack, Moyes admitted he never had cause for too much concern in defence.

He added: "Apart from one Michu opportunity, where he chipped it and Tim [Howard] tipped it onto the bar, I didn't think we were threatened that much.

"They have had a busy and hard week, so it's a great point for them. We are just disappointed that we couldn't turn a lot of our opportunities into goals."
