Betting Preview: Arsenal

@Everton

Everton will have their top four credentials put to the test on Wednesday night as they host Arsenal at Goodison Park.

The bookies can’t split the two sides and Paddy Power have priced both at a very tempting 13/8 to win and 12/5 to draw.

In opening the scoring in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Norwich, Steven Naismith took his goal tally for the Blues to two in two games and three in his last five, having also netted the first against Reading the week before.

If you fancy the former Rangers forward to repeat the trick for a third straight game, you can get him at 7/1 to be the first scorer on the night and 4/1 to be the first to register for the Toffees.

Despite conceding goals of late, David Moyes’ side remain unbeaten in 11 home games and will look to continue that run by keeping the Gunners – the last side to beat them at Goodison – scoreless.

Arsenal have only won two of their seven away games this season – against Liverpool and West Ham  - and have three times failed to find the net on their travels. As a result, Paddy Power have listed Everton at 7/2 to keep an overdue clean sheet and win Wednesday’s game to nil.

The Toffees should welcome back Marouane Fellaini after he missed the visit of Norwich through suspension, while Tony Hibbert, an unused substitute against the Canaries, could also feature.

Fellaini is the Club’s top scorer in the Premier League this season and is 21/10 to score at anytime against the Gunners and add to his six-goal tally.

Hot on his heels is Nikica Jelavic with five goals and the Croatian is 6/4 to score at anytime against Arsene Wenger’s side.

Fellaini and Jelavic both scored in a 2-1 home win over Sunderland earlier this month and Paddy Power bet 12/1 that the Toffees repeat that scoreline on Wednesday night.
