David Moyes believes patience could be the key to attaining maximum points against Norwich City this weekend.

Three successive shut-outs have helped the Canaries climb to 13th place in the Premier League table.

But the potent Blues have found the net in every home league fixture this season, averaging two goals a game from their opening five matches.

Moyes acknowledged Everton must not be as wasteful as they were at Reading last weekend, but he is backing his players to regain their touch in front of goal.

“Chris Hughton has done a great job in steadying the ship from the start of the season,” said Moyes.

“To get a really good back-line and not concede goals is always the right way to go about it because it gives you a platform to try and win games, and I think he has got that.

“He also has one or two really good attacking players; Grant Holt is one everybody knows and Wes Hoolahan has been playing well for them as well.

“We’ll have our work cut out and it will be another tough game. There could be similarities to the Sunderland game where we might have to be patient and wait. We will need the crowd to think that way as well.

“We’ve told the players to keep doing what they are doing, convert more of our opportunities into chances and more of our chances into goals.”
