Everton V Norwich - Betting Preview

by Matthew Gamble @efc_mattgamble

Everton aim to continue their rock solid home form when Norwich visit on Saturday.

The Blues have won eight and drawn two of their last 10 games at Goodison Park.

And the Toffees are 4/9 to beat Chris Hughton's side this weekend, with the draw priced at 10/3 in Paddy Power's online betting.

David Moyes' side are unbeaten against the visitors in their last five encounters at home having won four and drawn one. That came in last season's 1-1 result as the Carrow Road side returned to the Barclays Premier League for the first time since 2005.

On that occasion recent England debutant Leon Osman equalised for Everton eight minutes from time after Grant Holt had given the visitors a first-half lead.

Osman is 15/2 to score first for his side on Saturday, with Moyes hoping that his team's impressive unbeaten run at Goodison continues.

The Toffees haven't been beaten at home in the league since Arsenal won 1-0 in March - but they will have to make do without leading scorer Marouane Fellaini who is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season last weekend.

Scoring responsibilities for the home side could, then, fall to Nikica Jelavic as he looks to add to his five goals this season. The Croat is 7/2 to score the game's first goal and 12/5 to score the first goal for his team.

Steven Naismith, who nabbed his second Premier League goal of the season against Reading last weekend, is 6/1 with Paddy Power to open the scoring.

The visiting Canaries are playing their sixth game on the road this season and are yet to win, drawing three and losing to Chelsea 4-1 and Newcastle 1-0.

For Everton to repeat those scorelines is 19/1 and 6/1 respectively in Paddy Power's online betting.
