Last week, Steven Pienaar took over the Twitter account of our official travel partner Thomas Cook Sport to hold a question and answer session with fans.

The South African was quizzed on an array of topics from his most formidable opponents, to his favourite stadiums and his return to Goodison Park.

To find out what the 30-year-old had to say, read the full transcript below:

[TW] @RobG64 Besides Goodison, what's your favourite stadium to play in? [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: The Amsterdam Arena!

[TW] @Becs_1712 #AskPienaar Why did you shave your hair off? :( [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: The barber shop was closed so I had a bad day at the office!

[TW] @SimonWillis2 #AskPienaar Who's the best player you have played against? [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: Clarence Seedorf. He was one of the best midfielders in Europe and so powerful. Twice my size!

[TW] @ian_dyson #AskPienaar is Baines the best player you have linked up with in football? [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: He's one of the best certainly. I've played with some great players in my time. Bainesy is very important to us.

[TW] @BlueJohn #askpienaar did you regret leaving Everton for Spurs [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: No I didn't because I wanted a new challenge. But I was glad to come back to Everton. It felt right.

[TW] @toffee4eva123 #AskPienaar what's your best Everton goal mate? [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: The one away at Aston Villa a couple of seasons ago. It was from outside the box. I was pretty pleased with that one!

[TW] @sunscreemer #AskPienaar who is your best friend at Everton? And have you ever enjoyed a better on-field relationship than you have with Baines? [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: I had something similar with Hatem Trabelsi at Ajax and it's good to have an understanding like that with a teammate. My best friend at Everton? Everyone. My best mate in football is Nigel de Jong.

[TW] @tristan0010 How would you like to be playing Champions League with #efc next year?! #AskPienaar [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: It would be great. I think it is possible. But it's going to be a long season and we need to keep winning games.

[TW] @Pepe_Trfc #AskPienaar What's the greatest achievement of your career? [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: When I made my professional debut for Ajax Cape Town. I was only 17 and it was special.

[TW] @mark_walsh5 Who's the joker in training? My guess is Ossie. #AskPienaar @everton [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: Yes, Ossie. But also @fizzer18 [Phil Neville]

[TW] @JordanRich97 What does it feel like playing in the Merseyside Derby? #AskPienaar [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: I've been unlucky and have only played one at Goodison. But the atmosphere is unbelievable. They're my favourite games.

[TW] @V_Wolfe #AskPienaar How did you feel when you came back to Everton and walked back out onto Goodison Park? #Pienaarsalegend [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: It was packed and I didn't know what to expect. I felt like Rocky. But the fans were great and it was special to score.

[TW] @AndyJohnson_EFC what was it like in the dressing room after we beat United on penalties in the FA Cup semis? #AskPienaar [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: I think we deserved to win that game and it was just all smiles. Everyone was so happy at what we'd achieved.

[TW] @larky87 #askpienaar Will Everton be your last club in England? [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: That could be possible, yes. I'm happy here and I'll be 34 when my contract is finished!

[TW] @Paul94A #AskPienaar What's your favorite match in an Everton shirt? [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: Arsenal in the snow when I scored the chip. Because my brother is an Arsenal fan and he didn't like it!

[TW] @MarkLee83 #AskPienaar what is the best away ground in the Premier League in your opinion? [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: I always like going to Newcastle.

[TW] @Bally1989 #AskPienaar How good can Kevin Mirallas be? [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: Time will tell. I'm surprised by how quickly he's settled in. He's definitely got talent.
[TW] @sammyw94 #askpienaar do you have any pre-match rituals? And why the nickname Schillo? [/TW]

Steven Pienaar: I read a bible before every game. The nickname is taken from the old Italy player Toto Schillaci.
