Thomas Hitzlsperger and Blues legend Graeme Sharp met supporters from the Everton Disabled Supporters’ Association at Goodison Park this week.
The Blues duo spent an hour having photographs taken, signing autographs for the delighted supporters and even helping out with the trivia quiz, before the group’s annual meeting got underway.
Hitzlsperger and Sharp also presented the two youngest members of EDSA with a signed Everton ball to kick off proceedings.
Bruce Rogers, vice Chairman of EDSA, said: “The AGM was a great success – one of the best yet. It was nice to see so many of the EDSA family supporting us and to have a lot of Everton staff helping us on the night. Thomas Hitzlsperger and Graeme Sharp were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for them..”
EDSA work together with the Club to ensure disabled tickets for home and away fixtures are allocated fairly. They meet once a year to discuss any issues experienced throughout the season and elect new members to join their committee, who are responsible for administration and fundraising.
