Kevin Mirallas wants to add to his burgeoning reputation by helping Everton to derby glory.
The Belgian is set to sample his first Merseyside derby when Liverpool come to Goodison Park on Sunday.
Since arriving from Olympiakos this summer the forward has really caught the eye with some direct dribbling, astute assists and fine finishing.
"I am feeling great," Mirallas said in an exclusive interview with evertontv. "I am playing all the games and the coach trusts me. And, I have been lucky enough to score and make assists.
"I am aware that it is one of the hottest derbies in England, and one of the most important ones. For the fans it is the most important game of the year."
Mirallas is no stranger to intense rivalries being played out on the football field. Meetings of his former club Olympiakos and their adversaries Panathanaikos are dramatically dubbed the 'derby of the eternal enemies'.
But Mirallas is also seeing the bigger picture, encouraged by Everton's good start.
"It is the first one in the calendar - we have lost the last two or three derbies so we want a win on Sunday," he said.
"We will do everything we can to get a place in Europe and to stay near the top of the league at the end of the season."
