Ross Barkley has joined Sheffield Wednesday on a month's loan.
The teenage Everton midfielder links up with the Championship side in time to feature in their game at Brighton on Friday night.
Barkley, 18, has played nine times for the Blues since his debut at the start of last season.
This term the academy graduate was a substitute for the second half of the 5-0 win over Leyton Orient.
He switches to Dave Jones' Wednesday outfit as they look to build on the sixth place they currently occupy.
A delighted Jones said: "We have been chasing Ross for some time and I'm really pleased to have him on board.
"This is as big as the Rodri signing for me because this lad is a real quality player.
"He's energetic, good in the air and a box to box player who can score a goal."
