Steven Naismith is set for his Everton debut today after receiving clearance to play.
The Scottish FA had retained the player’s registration in the administrative aftermath of the player’s Glasgow Rangers exit.
The 25-year-old is on the bench for the friendly at Motherwell but is likely to feature at some point, with David Moyes expected to use his full complement of players – including the internationals who returned to training this week.
Tim Howard starts between the sticks behind a back four of Tony Hibbert, Sylvain Distin, Shane Duffy and Phil Neville
Tim Cahill, Leon Osman, Marouane Fellaini and Seamus Coleman make up the midfield with Apostolos Vellios and Victor Anichebe up front.
The rest – including Naismith – are on the bench.
James McFadden - released by the blues in the summer - is among the Motherwell substitutes.
