Supporters' Clubs Honour Duo

by Daniel Alston @efc_danalston

Leighton Baines and Apostolos Vellios were the winners at the inaugural Supporters¹ Club Awards.

Everton invited our extensive network of official supporters¹ clubs to attend the event at Goodison Park on Tuesday evening.

The clubs had voted for their player and young player of the season and the winners, Baines and Vellios, were in attendance.

Well over 100 Evertonians were in attendance and as well as question and answer sessions with the winners and special guests Alan Irvine, Graeme Sharp and Chief Executive Robert Elstone, they enjoyed a special quiz and plenty of Everton chat.

Baines said: "It's obviously nice to pick up these things. It's very nice to get that recognition off your own fans. I'm just happy to come down and celebrate the evening with them."

Vellios said: "I'm so happy for this and I'm proud. It has given me more confidence for the future to be better."
