Everton's hopes of progression in the Dallas Cup hang in the balance despite their thrashing of Club Bolivar on Wednesday.
They trounced Bolivians 6-0 but we left waiting on other results to see if they make the semi-finals as a best placed runner up.
After losing narrowly to Kashiwa Reysol on Monday the travelling Toffees knew a landslide win was their only chance of staying in the competition.
Tornadoes had hit Texas the previous day but it was Everton who blew their opponents away with a brutal first half display.
Anton Forrester and Hallam Hope caused their South American foes all manner of problems with Hope heading in Forrester's cross early on.
Straight away Forrester was in on the act as he converted Conor Grant's centre then tapped in Matty Pennington's flick-on from a corner.
Hope then laid one on a plate for skipper Ross Barkley after a tremendous solo run before Forrester completed his hat-trick from the spot after he himself was felled.
Frontman Hope then got his second when he smashed sub Femi Orenuga's cross into the top corner to make it six.
The result means Everton have six points and a plus-six goal difference and must wait for more games to be played before learning whether they will make the last four.
