Phil Jagielka showed up at Aintree University Hospital on Tuesday as he became the latest Everton player to give away a 2012/13 Season Ticket 'Out of the Blue'.
The defender was a surprise 'patient' for Ward Sister Carol Watson, an avid Evertonian from Fazakerley.
Jagielka is the fourth player to turn up in a random spot and hand out a 2012/13 Season Ticket to an unsuspecting supporter as part of the Stand Together Season Ticket campaign.
Carol was clearly overwhelmed to receive her prize from the popular England man, who said he was touched to be told he'd made her day.
"It was brilliant," Jagielka said. "I don't think she's stopped shaking, stopped smiling or stopped saying 'thank you' yet. It's what it's all about. We are the People's Club and this just proves it.
"The Season Ticket holders are so important to the Club. We depend on these people to keep coming week in and week out to keep the Club going. We just couldn't be without them and this is great to give someone that chance to be there to watch us every match."
Work commitments mean Carol has had to put trips to Goodison Park on the back burner in recent months but she says she'll be doing all she can to get herself and her three nephews to games from August onwards.
"I certainly wasn't expecting anything like this," she said. "I can't believe it. It's the best thing that's ever happened to me. I've never won anything before so this is a really good place to start.
"It's fantastic of Everton but they've always been a great club, always been very people-friendly and it's just great."
More Out Of The Blue surprises are scheduled to take place in the coming weeks. Look out on Twitter and Facebook for clues as to where the players will be appearing.
