Supporters' Club Meet Duffy And Sharp

by Daniel Alston @efc_danalston

Shane Duffy was the guest of honour as Everton’s Supporters’ Club tour rolled on.

Blues legend Graeme Sharp and Club officials were also in attendance at the Hans Tours Supporters' Club visit which took place at The Abbey, a pub just a stone’s throw from Goodison Park.

Duffy and Sharp were joined by Head of Media and Communications Mark Rowan and Media and Publications Manager Darren Griffiths, who was the evening’s MC.

Proceedings began with Darren holding a Q&A with ex-striker Sharp and the up-and-coming Duffy.

They discussed the Irishman’s progress and Friday evening’s cup clash with Fulham, amongst other things.

Then there was a break while the pair signed autographs and posed for photos.

Duffy headed home to get some well-earned rest ahead of that meeting with the Craven Cottage side as the floor was opened for questions.

Topics covered included everything from the quality of service on match day to the Everton Experience in the Met Quarter

Questions also came thick and fast to Sharpy, as he recounted tales from the glory days of the 80s and, of course, that goal at Anfield

Things then got really serious as the Everton quiz got into full swing with a replica Goodison Road Sign, signed by Duffy and Sharp, up for grabs.

The night ended with the raffle being drawn and a squad-signed Everton football being won by one lucky fan.
