Blues' Community Fun Day

by Suzie Parker @Everton

Everton in the Community is hosting a day of fun ahead of the Blues’ fixture against Wigan Athletic on Saturday 17 September.

Between 12.30pm and 2.30pm supporters of all ages are encouraged to come down to Stanley Park, close to the Gladstone building where the Blues’ official charity will be running soccer skills sessions. There will be face painting in the Family Enclosure and the chance for fans to test their Everton knowledge in a ‘If you know your history competition’, with a squad signed third shirt and ball up for grabs!

To be in with a chance of winning, fans must correctly answer six questions relating to the history between Everton and Wigan.  All correct entries will then be placed into a draw, with first entry picked winning the shirt and the second taking home the signed ball.

To enter this fantastic competition, which is open to Blues aged 14 years of age and under, young fans are encouraged to make their way to Stanley Park or the Family Enclosure, where Everton in the Community staff will be handing out entry forms.  You can enter on the day or send you answers via post by 23 September 2011. All entries must be sent to ‘If you know your history competition’, Everton in the Community, Goodison Park, Liverpool L4 4EL.

Speaking ahead of the event, Everton in the Community’s Fundraising Officer, Carena Duffy, said: “We are all really excited about the family fun day, which will be a fantastic event for the local community and everyone is welcome.
