Everton comfortably saw off Huddersfield in the Carling Cup on Wednesday, bringing in our suggested bet to be leading at half time at odds of 1.83 or 5/6.

On Sunday we head to Villa Park. This is the 191st time the two sides will meet, more than any other pairing in English football. Ten of the last 24 clashes have ended up all square and the odds against a similar result again are 3.20 or just less than 9/4. Everton have only won once at Villa Park since 1987.

Last season we drew 1-1 at Goodison Park and 2-2 at Villa Park. That needed a 90th minute equaliser from Villa and the In Play odds on a draw at the time were 11.0 or 10/1.

In both games Everton scored first and led at Half Time. You can back the same thing again at the attractive odds of 15.0 or 14/1.

Watch out for tasty In Play odds as well. Three of Everton's last five League goals have come in or after the 90th minute so things are never over till they are over, as they say.

If you are searching for a first goal scorer bet then look no further than Tim Cahill at odds of 9.0 or 8/1. He has hit four goals in his last four appearances against Villa.

We will be back next week with a look at the international games and then in two weeks time with a preview of the home game against Man United.

188BET is the official betting partner of Everton. We offer a full range of pre-match bets but it is In Play where 188BET really comes to life. We are In Play specialists, providing betting over the full 90 minutes of more than 3,000 football games every month.

In Play adds a whole new level of excitement to watching a game. The odds are updated in real time and produce great opportunities if you can strike at the right moment.
