Everton could welcome back captain Phil Neville for Wednesday's clash with Huddersfield.
The captain missed the 1-1 draw with Wolves at the weekend with a foot injury and will have a fitness test on Wednesday morning.
Joseph Yobo is set to return to the squad but Yakubu misses out after taking a knock in training on Monday.

"Phil will have a fitness test in the morning, he is about 50/50," Everton assistant manager Steve Round revealed at the pre-match press conference.
The impending Carling Cup clash inevitably brought about questions regarding squad rotation and Round said that while there may be changes, it would serve only to illustrate the competition for places in the Everton squad.
"There might be one or two changes but whoever we put out, it will be a strong team, that is for sure," he said.
Nigerian defender Yobo could feature for the first time this season but his compatriot Yakubu is out after being injured in training.
"He (Yakubu) should be fit for the weekend, he took a whack in training on Monday and he couldn't complete training today," reported Round.
"Joe is in the squad tomorrow and Yak would have been but he picked up a whack and is out. They are both in contention and will hopefully play a big part in us having a good season."
