Blues Head To Nordic Tournament

Three Everton Academy players travel with England Under-17s for the 2010 Nordic Tournament this week.

Tyias Browning, Jasper Johns and John Lundstram have all received call-ups for the friendly tournament, which takes place in Finland.

In their first match, the young Lions face the tournament hosts in Vaasa on Tuesday, before taking on Denmark and Iceland later this week.

England will then play a final match against either Sweden, Scotland, Faroe Islands or Norway, depending on how they fare in their first three games.

This is a first international call-up for left-back Johns and midfielder Lundstram, while defender Browning has already represented his homeland at Under-16 level. 

England's Under-17s won the Nordic Tournament in Norway in 2009 with a squad that included Everton youngster Jake Bidwell.

Meanwhile, Everton's Under-16s ended their 2010 Milk Cup campaign with disappointment finishing eighth in the Slemish Trophy competition this weekend.
