Pienaar Reveals Ambition

Steven Pienaar is hoping to make his loan move to Everton permanent.

Pienaar joined the Blues on a season long loan from German outfit Borussia Dortmund last month and is contention to make his debut against Wigan Athletic.

Speaking exclusively to evertonTV, the South African international reveals he can’t wait to show the Premiership his skills.

“My ambition here is to make the move permanent and show that I deserve to be here,” said Pienaar.

“It is a great opportunity for me to play in the Premiership and I think this is the time to establish myself because the competition at the Club is big. I will have to fight to get in the side.”

The former Ajax man believes the Blues can improve on last season’s sixth place finish and sustain a good run in the UEFA Cup.

“I think the team can finish in the top five and go far in the UEFA Cup,” he revealed.

“I am settling in quite well. Liverpool is a lovely city and the players have made me feel very welcome.”
