Wilson Joins Chester

Former Everton youngster Laurence Wilson has joined Chester City.

Wilson discovered that he would not be at Goodison Park for the 2006/07 season earlier this week. And now he has signed for League Two Chester.

He had been on loan at Mansfield, where he made his senior debut and scored his first league goal.

But now Mark Wright has swooped to secure the services of the left sided player.

Chester chairman Stephen Vaughan said: "Laurence is a great talent and we are pleased to have clinched his signature.

"He impressed during his loan spell at Mansfield last season, and they along with a couple of other League Two clubs were keen to sign him."
