Lawrence Wilson admitted that the going is tough over here in
Austria but added that it's essential if the youngsters play as
many games as they did last season.
Wilson, who signed a new contract at the club during the summer
recess, was a regular in Andy Holden's reserve side last
season, as well as turning out for Neil Dewsnip's Academy
"Because the first team had such a small squad we were
playing for the Reserves and Under-18s at the same time so it was
quite tough at times but it's all good experience," he
Just like the first team squad, the youngsters have been put
through their paces with and without the footballs.
Wilson is enjoying the hard work.
"It's been tough today because we've done a lot of
fitness work," he said.
"It can take a while to get your touch back but the
training sessions are tough. We worked a lot on our sharpness
today, passing and moving in small areas. Some of the boys were
already a bit stiff from yesterday's running."
The young defender's aim for the forthcoming campaign is a
simple one. He got a taste of regular reserve team football last
season and he wants more of the same this time around.
