Lee Carsley will be available for the start of pre-season
training after it was confirmed that he has not sustained any
serious damage to his knee.
The Blues midfielder was injured just six minutes before the
official end of the season and needed to be stretchered off the
pitch at The Reebok Stadium.
Initially there were worries that he may have damaged his
cruciate ligament though Blues Boss David Moyes moved quickly after
the game to allay Evertonians' fears.
Carsley reported to Bellefield first thing on Monday morning and
was instructed to go for a scan where he was told that there would
be no lasting damage.
Head Physio Mick Rathbone told evertonfc.com: "The M.R.
scan confirms what we felt clinically in that he has strained
medial ligaments in his knee.
"There is no significant damage and Lee will make a full
recovery during the close season and will be available for the
start of pre-season training in July."
