Thank-You

David Moyes has wasted little time in thanking everyone who has been involved in Everton's push to qualify for next season's Champions League.

The Blues finally cemented a place in European football's showpiece tournament on Sunday afternoon following Arsenal 3-1 win over rivals Liverpool.

It ensured that Everton are guaranteed fourth place in the Premiership and the pressure is off with two games to go against The Gunners and Bolton.

Moyes told evertonfc.com: "A big thank-you has to go to the supporters not just for their help this year but for sticking with the club when things were hard.

"I would also like to thank Alan, Jimmy and everyone else on the backroom staff. It has been a massive team effort and they all need lots of praise and credit.

He added: "I just hope that everyone will give the players the credit they deserve because there is no doubt that the performances this season have been excellent.

"They have beaten many of the top teams, won 18 games and it might be as good a season as many of those players have ever had. It might also be as good a season as the club have ever had."

Moyes has also singled out his chairman Bill Kenwright for special praise after he stuck by him over what was a difficult end to last season and a nightmare close season.

He said: A lot of credit must go to Bill Kenwright and the board after the difficult summer we all had."
