Everton star Alan Stubbs is lending his support to the
club's Head of IT, Steve Etheridge, who is preparing to undergo
a 170-mile hike in aid of Christies Against Cancer.
Stubbs, who suffered from the illness while playing for Celtic,
has written to all Premiership and North-West based clubs in a bid
to raise sponsorship.

Somewhat fittingly, Steve begins his walk in Stubbs' former
town of Glasgow, travelling due North, before arriving in Inverness
12 days later.
However, the intrepid hiker is no stranger to long walks -
having successfully completed the West Highland Way for Comic
Relief last year- and raising thousands in the process.
"Please dig deep and sponsor me to help raise much needed
funds for this invaluable organisation," said Steve.
"This is the most efficient way for me to raise money and
