Brown In England Action

Everton midfielder Scott Brown played 21 minutes of England Under-19's 1-1 draw with Germany in Celle on Tuesday night.

The 19-year-old replaced Charlton Athletic's Stacy Long with 69 minutes on the clock and showed some good touches during his time on the pitch.

England took the lead in the 43rd minute through Derby County winger Lee Holmes' overhead kick, but the Germans drew level in the 73rd minute through FC Cologne young centre-back Lukas Sinkiewicz.

Meanwhile, two of the Blues Under-17 players could be in action for England's Under-18 side against Belgium at Northampton Town on Wednesday.

Striker Paul Hopkins and midfielder Laurence Wilson have been drafted in to Martin Hunter's squad for the sell-out clash at the Sixfields Stadium
