Ladies In Arsenal Stalemate

Everton Ladies drew 0-0 with Arsenal on Sunday at St. Albans' FC.

Although the Gunners were firm favourites to win the game, Everton could have walked away with all three points.

The performance was top drawer and keeper Rachel Brown made a couple of world class saves to deny Arsenal the win that was expected of them.

The downside is that three key players limped off with injuries, and it is feared that Sammy Britton has sustained cruciate ligament damage.

Lindsay Johnson was another casualty with a calf strain and full back Jeanette Hill injured her knee. It is feared that Britton will be out for a while the other two will hopefully be back a lot sooner.

Louise Worrall played up front alongside Britton and her workrate was tremendous. She was denied a goal for her efforts on more than one occasion thanks to a string of superb saves by the Arsenal 'keeper.
