Hibbert Called Up

Welcome, Marco!

Everything you need to know about the new boss here.

Everton's Tony Hibbert is a surprise inclusion in David Platt's England Under-21 squad.

Hibbert wasn't originally named in the 24-man party for the friendly with Croatia at Upton Park, but Platt has included the young full-back in his preparations for Tuesday's match.

He has now linked up with fellow Everton defender Peter Clarke in London as the squad prepare for the Upton Park clash.

The game represents the final warm-up game before the Under-21s key European Championship qualifiers against Macedonia and Portugal in September.

In fact, the game with Portugal on Tuesday 9 September will be played at Goodison Park - the first time a competitive international has been staged in the stadium for 30 years.

Tickets for the game are currently on sale, priced at just £10 adults and £5 concessions.
