Wright May Play Friday

David Moyes has revealed that injured goalkeeper Richard Wright may well figure in Friday's friendly wth League of Wales outift TNS.

The game is scheduled as a reserve outing but the Blues' boss is keen for his first choice stopper to get some action as soon as possible.

Wright hasn't played in any of the pre-season friendlies thus far after injuring his shoulder in a freak accident during the summer.

Indeed, he's done precious little goalkeeping work on the training ground either, although he's put in plenty of fitness graft alongside head physio, Mick Rathbone.

"The original plan was for Richard to play in Sunday's match against Bologna," explained Moyes. "He is still on course for that, but he has an outside chance of figuring on Friday."

Wright's last action came against champions, Manchester United, at the end of last season and he has just 12 days to prove his fitness before the 2003/04 Premiership kick-off against, ironically, his former club Arsenal.
