Mark Pembridge has been called up to the Wales squad for their
important Euro 2004 qualifier with Serbia and Montenegro.
The combative midfielder has been an integral member of Mark
Hughes' side since the former Everton striker's appointment
as manager of the national team.
Wales currently top their qualifying group, but will face a
tough task in Belgrade against a squad of players who recently held
England to a 1-1 draw in Leicester.
Former Evertonians Gary Speed and John Oster are also named in
the 27-man travelling party for the game which takes place on
Wednesday 20 August.
