Blues Vow To Investigate Claims

Everton will be looking "very seriously" at reports claiming that banned supporter Stephen Price is back on the terraces, despite being forbidden to enter every ground in Britain.

After confronting Alex Nyarko on the pitch at Highbury in 2001, Price was ordered by magistrates not to attend any match in Britain for three years.

However, a Sunday newspaper has pictured Price watching Everton' 3-2 win at Ibrox eight days ago.

The 43-year-old claims that the court ban was reduced to two years on appeal, but Highbury Corner magistrates have stated that say they have no record of the reduction.

"Not only did we understand that Mr Price was banned from every ground, but the likelihood would have been that even after he had served the suspension handed down by the courts we would have been looking to extend it in terms of our own club," said Ground Safety Officer Norman Whibley.

"We will now look very seriously at the evidence presented to us in the light of what the Sunday Mirror has revealed."
