Davis Knocked For Six

Everton transfer target Sean Davis is set to miss the opening three matches of the new Premiership campaign.

Davis has been ruled out of action for up to six weeks following a scan on a knee injury he picked up in Austria last week.

The midfielder will therefore miss the games against Middlesbrough, Everton and Newcastle, though he could be out for even longer.

Fulham physio Jason Palmer said: "Sean has a grade two injury to the medial ligament of his right knee. He's just had a scan, which confirmed our diagnosis.

"He's going to have a couple of day's rest before joining us in Scotland, where we will continue with further treatment. If all goes well, we're looking at a recovery time of five to six weeks."

Blues Boss David lodged an undisclosed bid for the England under-21 international earlier this month but Fulham officials laughed it off, insisting they wouldn't let him leave for less than £7 million.
