Ladies March On

Mo Marley's young charges have reached the semi-finals of the UEFA U19 European Championships, irrespective of Tuesday's result with Germany.

England have secured maximum points from their first two group encounters, beating Sweden 2-1 and Italy 3-1. Everton's Kelly McDougall was on target against the Italians, scoring the second goal after 20 minutes.

The Germans have already been knocked out of the tournament after two consecutive defeats.

As a result the England v Germany match will NOT now be shown live on Eurosport as the result will have no bearing on the group.

Sweden and Italy will fight it out tomorrow for a spot in the semi-finals. Neither side can surpass England who have topped the group.

Either Spain, Norway, France or Holland will face England in the semi-finals.
