Nyarko Left Behind

Alex Nyarko will continue his Everton comeback at Leigh RMI's Hilton Park on Saturday.

The Ghanaian has been left behind on Merseyside as the rest of the squad travel to Scotland in a bid to give him as much match practice as possible.

Li Tie, Thomas Gravesen, Scot Gemmill and Tobias Linderoth will all contest the central midfield placings and by remaining at Goodison, Nyarko will be guaranteed two 90 minute workouts in the space of five days.

"We're pleased to have him back and we'll give him every opportunity," David Moyes told evertonfc.com.

"But there are several midfield players who are ahead of him at present and they'll be given the nod before Alex.

"I think that everyone will understand that those boys worked really hard last year to boost the club and they all played a part. Alex didn't do that, so the boys who were here last year will be given that opportunity first and foremost."

The £4.5 million signing from Lens is set to line up alongside the likes of Nick Chadwick, Kevin McLeod and Leon Osman against the Nationwide Conference club.

Everton squad (v Leigh RMI) from: Turner, B Moogan, A Moogan, O'Hanlon, Gerrard, Nyarko, Osman, Schumacher, Chadwick, Pascucci, McLeod, Barry, Flood, Brown, Potter, Lake, Fox.
